Sally Campbell Galman is an anthropologist, mother, feminist, cartoonist, raconteur, poetess, dreamer, believer, reader and adventurer. She received her PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is currently a Professor of Child and Family Studies at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. As an arts-based anthropologist of childhood, her research focuses on the study of young children and gender with a focus on those who are transgender or otherwise gender-diverse.
