Lisa holds a B.A. in anthropology and sociology from Simon Fraser University and a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia. Lisa’s current project is Storio, an organization whose mandate is to work with individuals, couples, and communities to tell their stories. Using an interview approach inspired by the ethnographic method, Lisa works closely with participants to render their memories into stories about them, for them. She also works with participants who wish to render imagined-selves, imagined-pasts, and imagined-futures into stories, and is particularly interested in the act of memory-making.
